It’s hot and they’re grinding away/working.

They are doing what they’re told, lend them a bottle of water.

⚠️ Fiber-Optic Update: They’ve Heard Us

Now Stay Vigilant

Neighbors,

We wanted to share a quick but important update regarding the fiber work in our neighborhood.

Open Country Construction and TDS have clearly heard your concerns. After fielding multiple calls and reading the feedback from residents, it appears they are re-evaluating the rollout of fiber in our subdivision. As several homeowners pointed out: if there’s little interest in signing up, is the cost of deployment even worth it?

While TDS may offer some enticing promotional rates upfront, be aware that prices tend to increase over time—unlike our existing, HOA-included Silver Star plan, which is already fiber-backed and reliable. For now, it seems we’re on standby.

🚧 Construction Quality So Far
The crews have been respectful. One positive example: the pool area was trenched and restored so cleanly you’d barely know they were there. That’s a good sign—but let’s stay watchful.

✔️ What You Should Keep Doing

  • Take “before” and “after” pictures of your driveway, sidewalk, lawn, irrigation, and landscape. Keep those photos timestamped.

  • If your landscaping is disturbed, they are expected to restore it, including sod replacement—especially since they’re working with a landscaping contractor.

  • Watch sprinkler heads and curbside turf. We’re currently dealing with low water pressure from the irrigation pumps, so make sure your yard stays watered if patching occurs.

  • Same rules apply to driveways and sidewalks. If cuts are made, ensure they’re patched smoothly and sealed properly.

📞 If you see issues, call Open Country at 208-314-8920 and notify the HOA board right away with photos.

This may all come to a pause soon—but if crews suddenly stop mid-work, let us know. We’ll continue monitoring the situation and will keep you updated as we learn more.

Thank you all for staying involved. The more vigilant we are, the better we can ensure our neighborhood is respected and restored throughout this process.
